77+ years of local service

Cobbity Rural Fire Brigade has been serving the local community since 1949, when a public meeting at Cobbity Public Hall brought around 13 residents together to form what became the Cobbity Bush Fire Brigade.

A lot has changed since those early days, from basic firefighting equipment and an air raid siren used to call volunteers, through to the modern equipment and communication systems we have today.

One thing that hasn't changed is that the brigade is built around volunteers giving their time to protect and support the community.

Safety

We train, prepare, and work as one crew so every volunteer can serve effectively and return home safely.
